Laurence Khupe is the Managing Partner and has over 22 years’ experience in the practice of corporate law. Wandipa Kelobang has over 15 years’ experience practicing law. She has worked for the World Bank in Washington DC, USA and the African Development Bank in Tunis, Tunisia and Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.
Wandipa is a specialist in capital markets and derivatives having worked on some notable transactions at the height of the 2008 financial crisis. She has advised on the issuance of bonds with a cumulative value in excess of USD10 billion denominated in over ten currencies.
Wandipa has advised in several project finance transactions across various sectors and has concluded projects in Afghanistan, Botswana, India, Bangladesh, the Philippines and Pakistan. Wandipa has contributed chapters to some leading legal guides.

Seilaneng Godisang has over 12 years’ experience practising law. She is a former associate in a large firm where she worked in the dispute resolution department and later in the commercial department. She advised on transactions across various sectors including listing of note programmes on the Botswana Stock Exchange and major mergers and acquisition transactions.
She has also worked as an inhouse counsel for financial institutions where she advised on some of the substantial lending and securitisation transactions as well as working on lending documentation across various jurisdictions.

Lesego has 15 experience practicing law. She has worked at the Deeds Registry Office of Botswana as a Senior Assistant Registrar of Deeds. She is a former Senior Associate in a large law firm where she headed the Real Estate and Property Division.
She has worked on the registration of large-scale security and lending documents. Lesego has advised clients ranging from large property developers and major commercial banks in Botswana.
Lesego holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Botswana and is an admitted Attorney of the High Courts of Botswana and is a member of the Law Society of Botswana.

Oreofe is employed as a Senior Associate at Laurence Khupe Attorneys (Inc. Kelobang Godisang Attorneys). She obtained her LLB degree from the University of Botswana in 2013. She is a RICS ACRETM accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator who holds post graduate qualifications in pension funds law and in finance for non-financial managers.
Oreofe is a seasoned civil litigator who is particularly well versed in enforcement of commercial agreements, financial recoveries, delictual claims and labour relations matters. She provides general legal advisory services to local and international corporate bodies on a wide array of civil and commercial matters in various sectors including finance, mining, construction and public health.

Monica Mokhala joined the firm in January 2017 after graduating top of her class from the University of Botswana. At the firm, she has worked on several mandates including corporate commercial transactions, competition law and conveyancing.
Monica has experience in among others, drafting and reviewing contracts, preparing documents for mergers and acquisitions, preparing legal opinions, conducting due-diligence exercises, drafting conveyancing documents as well as court documents.
She holds Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Botswana, and is admitted as an Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public of the Courts of Botswana.

Muhammad Mitha is a trainee attorney with the firm. Prior to joining the firm he served a period of internship at Debswana Diamond Company. Since joining the firm, Muhammad has been working in both commercial litigation and corporate transactions. Muhammad has assisted in drafting contracts, legal opinions and has also been involved in numerous due-diligence exercises.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Botswana, and an LLM in International Trade Law from the University of Stellenbosch
