Lesego Gabasiane

Lesego Gabasiane is one of the Firm’s partners with over 20 years’ experience in transactional advisory including conveyancing and general corporate commercial law matters. She has worked at the Deeds office as a Senior Assistant Registrar of Deeds. She is a former Senior Associate in a large law firm where she worked in the Real Estate and Property Division as the leading Attorney. She has provided transaction structuring and securitization of large-scale transactions. Lesego has advised clients ranging from large property developer and major commercial banks and financial institutions. Lesego holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and is an admitted Attorney, Notary Public and Conveyancer. She is the only Practitioner in Botswana ranked by IFLR 1000 as a Notable Practitioner.

Monica Mmapatsi

SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Monica Mmapatsi is a Senior Associate at the Firm with extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, real estate and conveyancing, and regulatory compliance. She provides strategic legal advise in high-value transactions and complex legal matters, with a strong focus on finance and lending transactions, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence exercises, and securitization. Before joining the Firm, Monica gained practical in-house experience working as legal counsel for Botswana Railways, followed by a role at the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority as a legal advisor, where she developed deep insights into financial oversight and compliance frameworks. Monica holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and is an admitted as Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public. She is a valued member of the Firm’s corporate commercial team, contributing to both advisory and transactional mandates across sectors.

Bongiwe Mabhena

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Bongiwe Mabhena is an Associate Attorney with a focus on Civil Litigation and Conveyancing. She has experience in representing clients in Magistrates Court, Industrial Court and the High Court. She also advises on property transactions, land disputes and contractual claims.
She holds an LLB from the University of Johannesburg and has further enhanced her expertise with postgraduate qualifications in Property Tax, Compliance Management and Corporate Governance, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting property and corporate clients in Botswana. Her approach is detail oriented and client focused, with a commitment to providing timely and practical solutions.

Nida Desai

ASSOCIATE

Nida Desai is an admitted attorney with diverse practice spanning both public and private law. She advises corporate clients, state entities, and international organisations on matters ranging from M&A transactions, corporate law, commercial litigation and cross-border transactions. Nida holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations as well as a Master’s Degree in Education and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification to deepen her expertise in financial regulation and investment law.

Tracy Batisani

FINANCE MANAGER

Tracy Batisani holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Accounting and Finance and is currently pursuing the ACCA qualification. She is certified in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) through the Botswana Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and also holds a Certificate of Proficiency (COP). Tracy is an experienced finance professional with a strong track record in managing high-value financial portfolios across multiple organisations. She oversees financial data management, ensuring there is accurate recording of transactions, payroll and client accounts. Tracy also supports budgeting and financial forecasting, manages tax filings and ensures full compliance with applicable financial regulations, contributing to informed decision-making and the firm’s financial stability.

Ontiretse Makopo

PRACTICE MANAGER

Ontiretse holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Botswana and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA). She also holds a certification in Corporate Governance for State Owned Enterprises. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked as an Administrative Manager at one of the local companies. She plays a key role in the Firm’s legal, administrative and operational functions, through efficient service delivery, stakeholder coordination and process improvement. She works closely with the Firm’s leadership team to strengthen internal systems, enhance operational effectiveness and support the Firm’s objectives.

Benjamin Kwape

SENIOR COLLECTIONS OFFICER

Benjamin Kwape is a seasoned debt collections specialist with over 30 years of experience in debt recovery and financial administration. He currently serves as our SCO where he offers end-to-end expertise in debt collection, from drafting demand letters, summonses and default judgment applications, to negotiating payment arrangements and securing Acknowledgements of Debt. Known for his practical, results-driven approach, he works closely with both clients and debtors to achieve efficient, commercially sound outcomes. Benjamin also manages client reporting, financial administration and court liaison, ensuring matters progress smoothly and professionally at every stage.
